I received my attunement to Reiki I in January of 2002, and little did I know what path I would travel down with my Reiki guides. Reiki is a hands-on healing energy that goes where it is needed.  I am a channel through which the energy flows to the patient. It was 8 years later when I was attuned to Reiki II, and Reiki III. In those eight years, I have given Reiki to a friend of 25 years with cancer. She was my first cancer patient, but sadly not my last.  She has since passed away, but during that time, Reiki was one of the few things that brought her peace and she was able to sleep during and after our session. Reiki would help reduce her level of pain, and quiet her mind from the many procedures she endured during her cancer treatments. From this life changing experience, I know that giving Reiki to people is a gift I have received in my life.
